Peli Vault V550 Equipment Case

The Peli™ Vault V550 is a rugged, oversized equipment case built for hard use, high impact and supreme weather resistance. It is sized to swallow a serious load of high-value gear — camera systems, drones, optics, instruments or firearms — and carry it through travel, transport and storage without a scratch getting through. Four secure latches, a sealed lid and a padlockable hasp mean what goes in stays protected, and stays put. Finished in black.

Built Tough

The shell is moulded from high-impact polypropylene, shaped to shrug off crushing loads, dust ingress and driving rain, with a polymer O-ring running the full length of the lid to keep the seal tight. Four push-button latches lock the case shut in a second and open just as fast, while stainless-steel hinge pins, heavy-duty ergonomic handles and a padlockable hasp keep it secure on the move — and once it is parked. Worth noting: like the rest of the Vault line, the V550 is engineered for weather and water resistance, not full submersion; if a case has to survive going under, Peli's Protector and Air series are built for that.

Four Layers of Foam

Every V550 ships with four layers of Pick N Pluck foam already inside. Pull the pre-scored cubes out by hand — no scalpel, no measuring, no trial and error — and within minutes you have a cavity shaped precisely around a camera body and lenses, a drone and its controller, a rifle scope or whatever else has to ride safely inside. Because the foam is layered, the nest can be as shallow or as deep as the equipment demands, and it is easy to start fresh if the loadout changes.

The generous interior suits mirrorless and DSLR kits with several lenses, camera drones and their accessories, mounted optics, portable instruments, field electronics and power tools — anything valuable enough to worry about and awkward enough that a soft bag will not cut it.
