The IP67 rating means the case is completely dustproof and waterproof to a depth of 1 metre for up to 30 minutes — independently tested, not just a marketing claim. A neoprene rubber seal runs the full perimeter of the lid; a single stainless-steel latch locks it shut with a satisfying click. Where most cases struggle with pressure changes (cabin pressure on flights, altitude hikes), the Peli 1010 is fitted with a GORE-TEX pressure equalisation valve: air passes freely in and out, water cannot enter.
